Partnering with Stay Caribbean
To deliver safe, consistent, and exceptional stays, property owners partnering with Stay Caribbean must meet the following standards:
🏡 1. Property Standards & Cleanliness
Owners are responsible for ensuring properties are always guest-ready, including:
Fresh linens, towels, and amenities before every check-in
Fully functional utilities: water, electricity, Wi-Fi, air conditioning/fans
Clean, pest-free, and hazard-free environments
Prompt reporting of maintenance issues to Stay Caribbean
📸 2. Accurate Listings
Owners must maintain truthful, up-to-date property listings:
Use current, high-quality photos of the actual unit
Clearly describe amenities, house rules, and neighborhood highlights
Notify us of any changes (e.g., renovations or unavailable features) that may impact guest expectations
🛡 3. Guest Safety & Legal Compliance
To ensure safety and compliance:
Properties must meet all local health and safety regulations
Required safety items: smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and a stocked first-aid kit
Owners must secure any local permits or licenses for short-term rentals
💬 4. Communication & Guest Experience
Owners agree to:
Respond promptly to guest inquiries or issues, either directly or through Stay Caribbean.
Honor confirmed reservations (except in emergencies)
Provide a smooth check-in and check-out process
🔁 5. Cancellations & Refunds
Stay Caribbean follows a fair refund and cancellation policy:
Owner-initiated cancellations may result in guest compensation or rebooking
Verified guest complaints or listing discrepancies may lead to partial or full owner-funded refunds
💼 6. Fees, Payments & Taxes
Owners must:
Keep their payment and tax information up to date
Comply with local tax laws and reporting requirements
Pay service and marketing fees as outlined in their listing agreement
🌐 7. Platform Compliance
Stay Caribbean markets properties across major platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, VRBO). Owners must follow:
Platform response time and review policies
Guest privacy rules
Non-discrimination and platform-specific requirements
⚖ 8. Liability & Indemnity
Owners are fully responsible for their property and guest safety. Stay Caribbean is not liable for:
Guest-caused damage
Injuries on the property
Legal or licensing violations
Owners agree to indemnify Stay Caribbean from any claims related to property conditions or operations.
